The future of meditation

ZERØBPM was born from the techno scene, but moves in the opposite direction: away from distraction and towards deep listening, silence and presence. Through ambient meditation rituals, retreats and musical releases, we create spaces where people can pause, reset and reconnect through sound, light and collective attention.
We use sound to cultivate silence. In a culture where attention is constantly fragmented, ZERØBPM explores a new ritual form for contemporary music and art — one rooted in stillness, listening and shared experience.
No phones, no substances, no performance. Just presence. As the project evolves, we aim to build an international platform for ambient culture, experimental listening and contemplative community experiences.
Over time, we’ve seen that many of us are looking for more depth and real connection. This retreat is a response to that.
From September 25–27, ZERØBPM hosts its first Community Retreat at Yūgen Forest — a carefully designed 3-day / 2-night experience built around sound, meditation, food, yoga, movement, nature and guided connection.
A full system reset.
Over three days and two nights, you step out of your daily rhythm into an environment created by ZERØBPM and Yūgen Forest.

ZERØBPM is carried by a growing constellation of kindred spirits. From global platforms like Amsterdam Dance Event and Resident Advisor to electronic music curators such as Astral Industries, IsBurning, Ratherlost, Paradigm, Orphic and Into the Universes. With festival hostings and The Spirit of Amsterdam, we co-create sacred editions in churches and on festival grounds. Our sound partner Addit Audio ensures that our experience sounds sublime.
